I’m really trying to be grown-up about this, but honestly, it’s hard to decide whether to make a snarky comment about how his passing was all part of god’s plan, or to start singing ‘Ding-Dong the witch is dead’. He was a nasty, hateful man who did more to spread fear, religious mistrust, outright homophobia, and lies throughout American society than many others ever have. For the sake of his friends and family, I certainly hope he had some redeeming qualities they can focus on to ease their pain.
